I was trying to get into a Honda Fit base model, which they weren't receiving anytime soon. They scoured a lot of other dealerships and said they couldn't find one. I was skeptical and searched around myself, finding a couple but at solidly higher price points and with similar concern about how long the cars would be in stock. In other words, although I initially thought there was something a little weird going on it turned out they really had turned over pretty much every stone.
