Some vehicle manufacturers and aftermarket car stereo makers have head units that come equipped with cables or docks for Apple iPod players. If you have a head unit that isn't iPod ready, the manufacturer might have a compatible external iPod adapter for it. These plug into the rear of your car stereo and should be professionally installed. Both methods function the same way and are very easy to use; just attach the iPod to the cable, and select your tunes through the car stereo's controls. The original sound quality is typically unaffected by this setup, so your music should come through loud and clear.
